Our Story

Meet Jacqueline
Growing Faith, Family, Fellowship
I’m a pastor’s wife, homeschooling mama of two energetic girls (ages 9 and 12), and a woman learning—daily—what it means to live from the deep assurance that we are known and loved by God. We live near thesandy shores of Georgian Bay, Ontario, where faith, family, and nature all shape our rhythms of life.
My journey has been one of both study and soul-searching. After earning a B.A. in Anthropology, I attended Seminary alongside my husband, and later completed an M.A. in Theology at the University of Western Ontario. I’ve served in both adult and children’s ministries, and have been deeply blessed by the friendships and faith journeys shared through leading spiritual retreats.
You can also find my heart for creation woven into the nature study and literature-inspired homeschooling curriculums I write at Books and Willows. Come on over to our sister site, there’s lots to explore!
Whether you’re here for encouragement, spiritual formation, or just to know you’re not walking this path alone—I’m so glad you’re here. Let’s walk together with open hearts, toward the One who calls us His own.
Why did you choose the name A Heart to Know?
I chose the name A Heart to Know because it reflects the very invitation God extends to each of us—to know Him deeply, personally, and wholeheartedly. The name comes from Jeremiah 24:7, where God promises, “I will give them a heart to know me.” That verse has anchored me through seasons of joy, uncertainty, and growth. It reminds me that faith isn’t about performance or perfection—it’s about relationship. God desires to be with us, and He gives us the very heart we need to respond to His love. My prayer is that this little spot of ours will become a community of people that encourage and strengthen one another in faith. That by sharing my stories, questions, vulnerabilities and hopes – we can each grow and find our own next steps towards God together.
